USF St. Pete Board of Trustees approves funding for a new pool on campus

by The 100 Companies

The 80-year-old pool outside of USF’s H. William Heller Hall will soon be replaced by a new one closer to the center of campus.

That’s right – the university’s Board of Trustees have approved the use of $2.1 million to build a new 4,600 square-foot-pool with an enclosed pumphouse, as well as new indoor classroom and office space.

The new facility will be built behind the Pelican Apartment’s residence hall, where a retention pond currently sits.

Design details will likely be completed by January, with bids for the construction going out in spring. The pool is expected to open by Spring 2023.
