Rhea Law will officially become the University of South Florida’s eighth president on Thursday, with an inauguration scheduled at 1 p.m. at the Yuengling Center on the school’s Tampa campus.
The ceremony will include an investiture, a formal academic program that allows Law to address the university community and share her vision for the school into the future and beyond.
Law was confirmed as president by the Board of Governors last March, but the inauguration will mark her official ceremonial appointment to the school’s top post.
Law will be the first USF alumnus to serve as the school’s president.
