Bayfront Health to offer new treatment for sleep apnea without CPAP machine

The St. Pete 100 will be among the first Florida hospitals to provide a new procedure to bring relief to those experiencing sleep apnea, which affects 22 million Americans.

This new procedure, called Inspire, utilizes new technology to provide an alternative to the CPAP machine. The FDA-approved device treats sleep apnea without requiring patients to wear a CPAP mask.

Dr. Trina Espinola and Dr. Julia Pfaff will be handling the procedures at Bayfront.

“This is the first truly effective alternative to CPAP we’ve had, and we are very excited to be able to offer Inspire to our patients,” Espinola said.
