The Ocean Conservancy and Florida Aquarium are responding to reports this week showing red tide is coming back.
The organizations are hosting a “Our Bay, Our Future” event featuring expert discussion to identify solutions.
“With Hurricane Ian and then Nicole, we saw firsthand how pollution can impact our oceans and feed red tide,” Ocean Conservancy’s J.P. Brooker said. “But we believe that with innovation and teamwork, we can improve our water quality, and protect the beauty of Tampa Bay and all Floridian ecosystems for generations to come.”
The event is at The Florida Aquarium Dec. 7, 6-9 p.m.
