Bolts finally back home after tough start to season

by The 100 Companies

After beginning the season with three games on the road, the Lightning have a home opener Tuesday against Philadelphia.

The Bolts went 1-2 on the road, including a 6-2 loss Saturday at Pittsburgh. The silver lining so far is the play of team captain Steven Stamkos, who had a league-leading four goals in those three games.

However, mistakes with handling the puck put the Bolts’ goaltenders in impossible situations.

“We have lots of work to do,” Lightning Coach Jon Cooper said. “The best players on our team have been our goaltenders. I thought (Brian Elliott) was outstanding (against the Penguins).
