Tampa’s new Riverfront District set to break ground in 2023

by The 100 Companies

Tampa’s newest downtown neighborhood, the Riverfront District, is set to break ground in late 2023. That’s according to Miami-based Related Group, which plans to transform a vacant waterfront property.

The project awaits approval from city officials to move forward with updated development plans on the 6-acre plot on the Hillsborough River’s west bank.

The new proposal includes 1,079 residential units with 32,760 square feet of retail space and 10 boat slips. That’s a shift from the original 2017 approved plan, which included 375 residential units, 690,000 square feet of office space, 60,000 square feet of retail space and 350 hotel rooms.
