The Tampa Bay Rowdies not only clinched a playoff spot in their last home game, they made a statement.
They routed Las Vegas 6-1 at Al Lang Stadium to secure their place in the USL’s post-season party.
“We’ve made some tough work of these games earlier in the season,” Rowdies Coach Neill Collins said. “Tonight, I thought we got our reward for the performance with the goals.”
The Rowdies are on the road for their next two matches before returning home Sept. 23 against Birmingham Legion FC.
They trail Louisville by four points for first place in the Eastern Conference.
