James Judge has won the Republican nomination in Florida’s 14th Congressional District, defeating Jerry Torres and Sam Nashagh. Now, he’ll face U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor in November.
Judge earned 53% of votes, compared to Torres’ 30% and Nashagh’s 17%.
Meanwhile, Castor formally advanced to the General Election after defeating Christopher Bradley in the Democratic Primary for CD 14. Castor took 90% of votes in her race.
Castor moves forward favored to win re-election. After redistricting, the new CD 14 spans across downtown Tampa and St. Petersburg, with about 59% of voters supporting Democrat Joe Biden in the 2020 Presidential Election.
