Barring a catastrophe, Bucs quarterback Kyle Trask will see little or no playing time this season. That’s why it was important for him to make a good impression in Saturday’s opening exhibition game against Miami.
Mission accomplished, mostly.
Trask completed 25 of 33 passes for 258 yards and a touchdown. He also had an interception and lost a fumble.
Head coach Todd Bowles praised Trask’s “moxie out on the field” and said he played under control and didn’t panic when things went wrong.
“He passed a lot of those tests,” Bowles said, “so he’ll get more of it next week.”
