Tampa Bay’s Winner and Loser of the Week

Winner: Nicole Justice. Tampa General Hospital’s senior director of patient safety was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Florida Board of Medicine.

“Nicole has been outstanding in perpetuating and elevating our safety standards, and we would be honored for her to serve on the Florida Board of Medicine,” Tampa General president and CEO John Couris said.

Loser: Neo-Nazis. Creative Loafing captured photographs of neo-Nazi demonstrators at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa. The rally was in apparent response to a protest over abortion rights. A spokesman for the Summit said the demonstrators weren’t affiliated with TPUSA.
