Tampa Bay’s Winner and Loser of the Week

Winner: Springsteen lovers. Yes, the Boss – Bruce  Springsteen – is going back on the road for the first time since 2017, and Tampa’s Amalie Arena will be his first stop. Tickets for the Feb. 1 show go on sale at 10 a.m. on July 20 via Ticketmaster.  Bruce will also play in Orlando on Feb. 5.

Loser: Pedestrian safety. The Tampa-St. Pete-Clearwater area ranks fourth-highest in the nation for pedestrian deaths, with 3.55 fatalities per 100,000 people, according to a study called “Dangerous By Design” from Smart Growth America. The Deltona-Daytona-Ormand Beach area had the highest fatality rate.
