Ruth’s List Florida has endorsed Keesha Benson in her run for Pinellas County School Board District 3. The organization, which is dedicated to electing Democratic, pro-choice women, credited Benson’s extensive multidisciplinary experience in education.
“She is the most experienced candidate in the race, a dedicated community advocate, a proven leader, and a loving parent to three children in the Pinellas County Public School system. No one in this race is better positioned to serve on the Pinellas County School Board than Benson,” said Lucy Sedgwick, Ruth’s List Florida president.
If elected, Benson would be the first Black woman to represent District 3.
