University of South Florida’s softball team will be heading to Tallahassee Regional for the NCAA Tournament. This is USF’s 17th NCAA tournament berth since 1996.

The Bulls are seeded third in the four-team region and will play second-seeded Mississippi State (33-24) on Friday at 6 p.m. ESPNU will televise the game.

Top-seeded Florida State (52-5) and Howard (31-22) round out the field.

USF is 44-14 overall and finished second in the American Athletic Conference tournament, losing 11-0 to UCF in the championship game.

That snapped an eight-game winning streak. The 44 wins are USF’s most in a single season since 2016.
