NFL draft guru Todd McShay of ESPN predicts the Buccaneers will select Georgia defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt with their first-round pick Thursday night.
Barring a trade, the Bucs draft No. 27 overall in the first round. The draft runs for seven rounds over three days. The second and third rounds will be held Friday.
Wyatt started 25 games for the Bulldogs over the past two seasons, putting up 64 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He is considered durable, athletic, and has exceptional toughness.
If the Bucs draft him, Wyatt could be the successor to Ndamukong Suh, who is an unrestricted free agent.
