The iconic Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival is set to start this Friday, showcasing the best sand sculptures in Florida with world-renowned sand artists.
The Sugar Sand Festival is a 17-day celebration that features more than 14 sand sculptors who use 1,000 tons of Clearwater Beach sand to create a walk through art exhibit. While most of the exhibit is complete on opening day, pockets of untouched sand are left open so that guests can see the sculptors in action.
The event offers free live music, fireworks, kid’s play zones and sand sculpting classes, and will run through April 17.
