by The 100 Companies

After starting the season with a scoreless tie at Birmingham, the Tampa Bay Rowdies found the home turf of Al Lang Stadium a bit more welcoming.
They defeated the Indy Eleven 2-0 Saturday before 5,192 fans.

Juan Tejad scored for the Rowdies just 34 seconds into the game. In the 51st minute, Tejada headed the ball in the direction of Jake LaCava, who hit a one-timed shot for his first Rowdies goal.

That was all the scoring Tampa Bay needed.

The Rowdies’ next home game is Saturday the against Hartford Athletic. There will be a fireworks display following the game.
