Rays report for work as spring training begins

by The 100 Companies

With the Major League Baseball lockout finally a thing of the past, the Rays are ready to start an abbreviated spring training in Port Charlotte.

The Rays open the Grapefruit League season on Friday against Boston in Fort Myers. Their home opener at Charlotte Sports Park is Saturday against Atlanta.

They start the regular season on April 8 at Tropicana Field against Baltimore.

“It’s going to be quite the push,” Manager Kevin Cash said. “There will be a lot of moving parts going on. We’re going to have to show a lot of adjustability, which we feel we’re good at.”
