The Tampa Bay Rays will open the season on April 8 at Tropicana Field against the Baltimore Orioles.
The team announced that after the players union and owners agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement and ended the lockout that had delayed the start of spring training.
The Rays said a revised spring training schedule will be announced soon.
