Zephyrhills GOP Sen. Danny Burgess has joined the legal team at Shumaker Advisors, the firm announced this week. Zephyrhills City Attorney Matthew Maggard has also joined the firm.
Burgess and Maggard currently work together at their Dade City firm, Maggard & Burgess. They will be joining Shumaker’s new Dade City office.
“Danny and Matthew are respected leaders, with strong ties in Pasco County,” said Ron Christaldi, Shumaker’s Tampa managing partner and Shumaker’s Florida CEO.
Burgess joins a growing list of bay area politicos scooped up by Shumaker including former mayor of Tampa Bob Buckhorn and former St. Pete Mayor Rick Kriseman.
