Rep. Michele Rayner Monday announced she selected Jasmine “ Jazz ” Webb as campaign manager in her race to fill the 13th Congressional District seat being vacated by Charlie Crist.
Webb comes to St. Pete from the Southside of Chicago. In 2020, the Democratic strategist ran Vice President Kamala Harris‘ campaign in Wayne County, Michigan.
“As a queer Black woman, I have always felt a strong passion for uplifting the voices of marginalized communities,” Webb said. “ I see politics as a way to right the wrongs I saw in my community and Rep. Rayner is the leader who can get that done.”
