The G.O.A.T. is gone. Tom Brady officially announced his retirement from the National Football League.
In a tweet, he said that football is an “all-in” proposition, adding, “There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life. This is difficult for me to write, but here goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore.”
Brady leaves after 22 seasons, including the last two with the Buccaneers, as the consensus greatest quarterback of all time. He won a record seven Super Bowls, including last year with the Bucs, and too many individual honors to mention.
