Ruth’s List Florida Tuesday announced its endorsement of Pinellas County School Board Member Caprice Edmond in her run for re-election to the District 7 seat.
Edmond, the only Black member of the eight-person board, was first elected in 2020 when she was also endorsed by Ruth’s List.
Ruth’s List President and CEO Lucy Sedgwick said Edmond “has a long history of advocacy for children and families” and “brings a unique perspective as the only Black member of the school board.”
Ruth’s List is dedicated to electing Democratic, pro-choice women in Florida. It’s raised more than $6 million for candidates since 2008.
