The UCF Knights and the Florida Gators will face each other for the first time since 2007 at the Gasparilla Bowl on Dec. 23 at Raymond James Stadium.
The game starts at 7 p.m. and airs on ESPN.
The Gators (6-6) are in transition after hiring Billy Napier from Louisiana to replace former head coach Dan Mullen, who was fired with one game left in the regular season. Interim coach Greg Knox is expected to coach Florida in the bowl game, but Napier certainly will be watching.
UCF finished 8-4 in coach Gus Malzahn’s first season in Orlando.
