It’s the largest contract in Major League Baseball history for a player with less than one year’s service time.
Loser: Tax Cheaters. The IRS’s Criminal Investigation Tampa Field Office uncovered $100 million in unpaid taxes during an investigation last year. The highest-profile case involved Sarasota lawyer Joseph Anile II, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a $72 million fraud scheme.
