Tampa Electric is making some power moves.

The utility company recently announced its vision for net-zero emissions by 2050 and highlighted its milestone goals to reduce carbon emissions by 60% in 2025 and by 80% in 2040.

To achieve its climate goal, Tampa Electric is teaming up with the University of South Florida and Tampa.
Tampa Electric will invest $5 million in USF to accelerate clean energy innovation, research and workforce development efforts, seeking to convert Tampa’s public infrastructure to cleaner energy sources.

Tampa Electric is paving the way to make Tampa Bay a champion of cleaner and greener energy sources.
