State parks to offer free admission in honor of Veterans Day

by The 100 Companies

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection will keep with tradition in offering free admission to Florida State Parks for all on Veterans Day.

“I hope everyone enjoys Veterans Day in their favorite state park, and that we all take the opportunity to thank our veterans for their service,” said DEP Secretary Shawn Hamilton.

In Tampa Bay, that includes the Ybor City Museum state park and the Hillsborough River state park. Or, explore more coastal options at Honeymoon Island and Anclote Key Preserve. Check out nearby parks here.

Florida State Parks also offer veterans a 25% discount on annual entrance passes.
