After an impressive 6-2 win over Tulsa in the opening game of the USL playoffs, the Rowdies return to action Saturday against Birmingham Legion FC. Game time is 7 p.m. at Al Lang Stadium.
The Rowdies, the owners of the league’s best record, delighted a noisy crowd of 6,262 fans with a five-goal barrage in the second half to put the game away.
“The first playoff game is never easy,” Rowdies midfielder Leo Fernandnes said. “Some players get tight and don’t want to make any mistakes but I thought the team really put out a great overall team performance.”
