Winner and Loser of the week in Tampa Bay

WINNER: Jane Castor. Tampa’s Mayor announced the city is halfway to its goal of creating 10,000 affordable housing units by the end of 2027.

The city is working with AAA Restoration & Builders, LLC, and LEMA Construction in a public-private partnership to develop the units on city-owned land as a way to reduce costs.

LOSER: Massage parlors. Hillsborough Sheriff Chad Chronister announced the arrest of seven people in a prostitution ring allegedly operating out of 12 local massage parlors.

Operation Shared Hope included law enforcement from Pinellas, St. Petersburg, Largo and FDOH. They seized more than $750,000 in cash and luxury cars.
