Bankruptcy filing to stop plans for food hall at Sundial

by The 100 Companies

Plans for an Armature Works-like food hall in St. Pete may be thrown out after two companies linked to the operation filed for bankruptcy, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

The two leading developers included Armature Works president Frank Scalfaro, who established St. Pete Market Hall LLC, and Chas Bruck, owner of restaurant company BE-1 Concepts. They announced the plans in late 2019.

However, the pair’s affiliated companies – St. Pete Market Hall and BE-1 Concepts – have since filed for bankruptcy, following a lawsuit brought by Sundial owner Bill Edwards alleging they had defaulted on their lease by ditching the project.
