The Rowdies finally return home Thursday from a successful three-game road trip. At home, they will host the Charleston Battery, a team the Rowdies defeated 1-0 on Saturday night to officially secure a spot in the USL playoffs.
Sure, they’re happy to be in the playoffs, but head coach Neill Collins said it’s just a necessary step toward the larger goal.
“Their eyes are on further things down the road,” he said of his players. “I’m glad I’ve got a group like that. They only see the playoffs as a step along the road to where we want to be.”
