Three more Pinellas County elected officials have announced their support for Ben Diamond in his run for Florida’s 13th Congressional District. The endorsers include Largo City Commissioner Jamie Robinson, Gulfport City Council member Michael Fridovich and Pinellas Park City Council member Patti Reed.
The endorsements come after four mayors announced their support of Diamond. Diamond, a Democrat who currently represents House District 68 in the state Legislature, is running to succeed U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist who is seeking the Governor’s seat.
Diamond faces former Obama advisor Eric Lynn and state Rep. Michele Rayner-Goolsby in the Democratic Primary next year.
