The Suncoast Group of the Sierra Club is backing Gina Driscoll for the District 6 seat on the St. Pete City Council.
Driscoll was previously endorsed by the Sierra Club in her successful 2017 bid for office. The organization credited its endorsement to Driscoll’s strong environmental voice on City Council.
“Driscoll has an excellent track record on environmental and social issues, and the courage to stand up for her convictions when it comes to promoting the sustainability and resiliency of St. Petersburg,” said Dan Huber, Sierra Club spokesperson.
Driscoll faces one challenger in the race for District 6, Mhariel Summers.
