Suncoast Sierra Club endorses Lisset Hanewicz for City Council District 4

The Suncoast Sierra Club is backing Lisset Hanewicz for the District 4 seat on the St. Petersburg City Council.

The organization credited its endorsement to the candidate’s history of civic engagement and her sustainable-minded, smart growth platforms. “We are proud to endorse Lisset Hanewicz, a community leader dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion,” said Dan Huber, Sierra Club spokesperson. “I want voters to know I’m committed to our environment and the endorsement of the Sierra Club will help me share that message,” Hanewicz said.

Hanewicz, a former prosecutor for the Pasco-Pinellas State Attorney, and has led the race in fundraising.
