Hollander Hotel temporarily closes for fumigation

The Hollander Hotel in downtown St. Petersburg has temporarily closed to fumigate the aging building.

The 96-room boutique hotel and tap room located at 421 4th Ave. North closed Monday morning. The Hollander will not allow guests back until 3 p.m. Wednesday.

“As you know we love our vintage properties just as much as you do, and they do need upkeep on a regular basis,” the hotel wrote on Facebook . “This week we will be completing a major service that needs to be done every 7 years.”

Sister property Avalon is set to reopen 3 p.m. Friday.
