The Tampa Bay Rowdies picked up a much-needed win Friday, knocking off the New York Red Bulls II 2-1.
Defender Max Lachowecki had his first assist and goal of the season as the Rowdies picked up just their second win in the last six games.
Still, the team is just three points behind the first-place Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in the Atlantic Division of the United Soccer League. They play in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Aug. 18.
First, though, the Rowdies return to St. Petersburg on Friday for a rematch against the Hartford Athletic. They lost to Hartford 1-0 July 13 at last match.
