A St. Petersburg couple is suing a vacation rental business for not receiving a refund after having to cancel a stay due to contracting COVID-19.
The now-wed pair, Patrick and Natasha Kidder, paid $13,575 to rent a waterfront mansion in the Florida Keys for several days last July. But, the two contracted COVID-19 in late June, leading them to cancel their stay.
Now, they’re seeking damages from Keys Ocean Vacation Rentals, which allegedly refused to fully refund or credit the couple, citing a 90-day cancellation provision.
The lawsuit is seeking damages claiming a breach of contract, theft and unjust enrichment.
