Incumbent Gina Driscoll has earned endorsements from former council members Charlie Gerdes and Jim Kennedy for her St. Petersburg City Council District 6 reelection bid.
Gerdes served on the council for two years with Driscoll, but Kennedy’s term ended when Driscoll began her first year in office.
Driscoll worked with the pair prior to her time on Council through the Council of Neighborhood Associations and the Downtown Business Association.
Driscoll has been raking in endorsements from statewide elected officials since launching her campaign, including Congressman Charlie Crist, Sen. Darryl Rouson and Rep. Ben Diamond.
Driscoll faces challenger Mhariel Summers.
