St. Petersburg is hosting a Duke Energy Drone Light Show to celebrate the St. Pete Pier’s first anniversary on July 6.
The event opens at 5 p.m. with live music at Spa Beach Park, and the drone light show beginning at 9 p.m. The show will have 300 drones equipped with LED lights, creating formations stretching over 500 feet across the sky.
The first 2,000 guests will receive a wristband to interact with the show throughout the night. The show will be visible from all downtown waterfront parks except Vinoy Park.
The event is separate from Independence Day events.
