A new 20-story apartment tower site neighboring Tropicana Field is moving forward with construction after receiving approval from the St. Pete City Council.
The complex, which is being developed by Mill Creek Residential Trust, will boast 383 units and 15,316 square feet of retail space. Local developers John Barkett of Barkett Realty and Stadler Real Estate Corp are also working on the project.
The tower will be designed to face the Pinellas Trail, with the lot located on the west side of 17th Street South between the trail and 3rd Avenue South.
Construction is expected to finish in late 2023.
